During the Fringe Festival in the Jazz Bar of Edinburgh was (and is still) performing Louis Durra.

Louis is a Los Angeles jazz pianist who has developed a painstaking way of immersing in the music he performs.

As he said: “[...] often I’m leading upside down, playing the melody so as to make the cymbals sound good, or voicing in ways flattering to the bass. One of the great results has been great loyalty from the musicians”.

It was really enjoable listening to his music, and I would definitely recommend to go to his concerts.

You are still in time to see him in Edinburgh, since this is his second year there: “Letting a song and its possibilities take over inspires sounds I couldn’t predict. On another note, I made some good friends in Scotland last year and I’m happy to be returning” - Louis Durra.
